Edinburgh 10s Festival – 07/06/2014

Went to the Edinburgh 10s festival yesterday, played at Raeburn Place, Edinburgh.

I was there last year, but for those who’ve forgotten! It’s 10 a side rugby, so a cross between the normal 15 a side and the better known smaller version of the game, 7s.

An if I say so my self, looking at last years pics and the following ones, I think I have improved my photographic skills, but I suppose you’ll be the judge of that.

Edinburgh Rugby v Munster 03/05/2014

Last home game of this season for Edinburgh, it didn’t go well!

We were on the wrong end of a 12 – 55 drubbing, praise the lord for alcohol, it numbed the pain somewhat!

Glasgow Warriors v Edinburgh Rugby 26/04/2014

It was the 2nd leg of the 1872 Cup yesterday, played between  Glasgow and Edinburgh, Glasgow had won the first leg in Edinburgh and they ran out winners again yesterday. Sadly I have to admit it was a deserved victory and the 37 -34 scoreline somewhat flatters Edinburgh.

Anyway here are the pics,

Edinburgh Rugby v Ulster 21/03/2014

Action from the RaboPro12 last night, Edinburgh v Ulster. Not the best game I’ve ever watched and I’m being kind.

Ended with a 9 – 3 win for Ulster,

Wales v Scotland 15/03/2014

Went to Cardiff full of hope for a good performance and maybe just a decent result for Scotland in their final Six Nations fixture for this season, how wrong could I be!!

What we did get was a right good hiding, 51 – 3, aaarrrrggghhh!!!!!

Scotland V France 08/03/2014

Six Nations action at Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh yesterday, Scotland v France.

Ended with a 17 -19 victory for France, a result that left Scotland supporters a bit shell shocked, though imo what cost us was the 9 points in penalties conceded in the first half, our penalty count this Six Nations is not one we’ll want to remember!

Edinburgh Rugby v Swansea Ospreys 28/02/2014

Rugby tonight, Edinburgh v Swansea in the RaboPro12, not at Murrayfield, as the pitch is struggling with an infestation of mites!

So it was Meggetland, a small stadium in Edinburgh, but it made for a good atmosphere, the lads must of liked it, because Edinburgh ran out 31 – 25 winners.

An enjoyable game, tries a plenty:-)

Only downside, the light, the stadium floodlights are not a patch on the Murrayfield lights, but I tried and with some help from photoshop I got some ok images, see what you think,
